My ear hurts soo bad... please help?

Ok So I went swimming and my ear started hurting so I went to the Take care Clinic (Walgreens) and Saw a nurse practioner and of course she said it was swimmers ear so she gave me a prescription for some drops. (That was yesterday) So I put drops in yesterday night... about thirty minutes later after I took the cotton out my ear was hurting very bad... again. And then I started getting pain in my jaw and my ear started to pop... and the poping is what is hurting very bad... along with my jaw pain. I have taken advil but the pain hasnt gone away... please help... i DONT WANT IT TO BE SERIOUS. Is there any over the counter pain medications that can help? and what do you think is wrong with my ear and jaw?
