Does anyone live in the New Orleans area?

I am wanting to relocate from Oklahoma City to New Orleans or the surrounding area. I have never been there, but my man has plenty of times. He loves it there. He said it is quite different than Oklahoma laid back living though. If anyone has any insight for me as to what it is like there as far as housing expenses, job market for an accounts payable clerk(myself), and the everyday living cirstances, I would appreciate it. He has dreams of having his own resturaunt and believes this would be easier to achieve in New Orleans.
