I definitely know how you feel. It does bother me, I probably would have been upset when put in that situation too. I'm having a problem with my brother right now because his dog has such terrible allergies, and I think its the food he feeds him (absolute junk that's nothing but corn, harmful substances like ethoxyquin & methianone and by-products.) I have gone at it from every angle, I even offered him to buy a free bag of a grain free brand or pay for him to go to a natural vet. He just thinks I'm a kook! His poor dog is chewing his feet bloody and has an on-going ear infection because of allergies, and the ignorant vet just wants to keep giving him steroids rather than try switching the food to see if that helps. He won't listen to me because his vet says Royal Canin is the best food out there, and that dogs need grains, that high protein diets are actually bad for dogs, etc. I tried to point out that dogs don't eat corn in the wild and they didn't evolve that way, that everything in their anatomy points to them being carnivores! He actually refused the food I offered and said he won't let me kill his dog by feeding him high proteins. My dog eats this Wellness diet, and has never had better health, so it really angered me that he implied I am hurting my dog or trying to hurt his. I love the dog so so much, I really just want to kidnap him or convince my brother to give him to me so I can give him a good home. He really doesn't treat him well and its frustrating to watch the dog suffer like that. People just think I'm being pushy, snobby, etc. when I try to tell them what's in their dog food. It's really not the case, I really just love dogs so much that I want everyone's dog to be in good health and not eating garbage! It bothers me to no end that vets still promote Iams and Science Diet. Makes you wonder where they get their info from.. probably the companies!

Please Help Me Understand Scorpio...?

Scorpios are very complicated creatures, but I feel they are very worth the patience it takes to capture their hearts. Baby Birds, did I screw up?

I have a pair of Zebra Finches that mated. The eggs hatched about 4 weeks ago. I opened the nest box to check on them, and all four flew out. I had to chase them down and catch them to put them back. I was involved in an accident 3 w/uninsured driver does my UM bodily injury inc P&S?

I was involved in an accident w/an UI motorist. It has taken 3 weeks to receive this notification. I have been receiving treatment for a low back injury due to accident. I have UM Bodily Injury coverage at 100,000/300,000 but no PIP. My insurance company is trying to tell me that my UM Bodily Injury is to pay medical cost up to the specified amount and that PIP is the only way I could be compensated for pain and suffering. It has been determined that I was not at fault and I have lost sleep over the injury and the quality of my life is currently effected. Am I being railroaded to save them some money or are they telling me the truth. PIP only covers a maximum of $10,000.00 for injuries. This does not seem to make sense to me.

Why do we love our pets so much lol?

I have had many dogs in my life. and everytime one of our dogs dies we always say we will never get another one but we ALWAYS do. my first dog we had was shetland sheep dog named tobi. He was with me from the day i was born till i was about 13. He got really sick at the end with the tumors and such and it got to the point where he couldnt even eat. my mom said to put him to sleep to end his suffering and me being young at the time was mad cause i loved tobi so much. Well my mom said he was suffering too much and we had to let him go so i went to school that day with a bad depression. He was due to be put down at 11am, which is when i happened to be the time i was in gym. as each minute ticked closer to eleven i got depressed i came home that day hoping my mom would change her mind but when i got home she said i had to do it and i cried. and my parents said no more dogs. well about a year latter my dad came home with another dog an italian greyhound named Zip. Well of course i got attached. My mom wasnt too keen on the dog at first but then she warmed up to him and fell in love. Then in 2004 my parents got seperated and my dad took zip away. i felt sad again that was another time of heartbreak and it was hard. Again my mom said no more dogs. About 5 months later me and my brother talked my mom into getting another dog. So we did her only condition was it had to be a border collie cause she always wanted a collie and it had to be female cause we never had a female dog and she wanted one. So we got a dog named Mady so the first day she came home and cuddled right up to me and instantly i got attached again. Now Mady is almost 6. she stole all of our hearts especially moms. now we are really attached to Mady i dont see her as just a dog she is one of our family members, i call her my older sister. Why must we all get so attached to our pets. not saying its a bad thing but its gonna end up in heartache again when Mady dies. And i dont want Mady to die cause like my dog tobi and when zip got taken away it will be the worst day of my life.

My kitten is having some trouble....?

She is about 10 weeks old, but she is very small we think she is the runt of the litter since all the other cats have gained and grown much faster then her. Lately she will eat and then throw up this white nasty spit with a small amount of food. Yet she seems to have no problems with her bowl movements and no diarrhea. She also will sit there and cry just before she throws up and after seems to be very congested, but that goes away after a few min.

You're her baby and as such it's sometimes seriously hard to stand up to our parents. Be gentle, be kind, and remember....she loves you.
